  • Children In Need

    Fri 18 Nov 2022

The week has ended with Children In Need and we have loved seeing all the different spotty/Pudsey themed outfits.  It is not too late to make your donation, use the link below to make your donation to our school page.  At the point of writing this, we had already met our target raising over £500.  Huge thanks for all your contributions!

  • Year 3 and 4 Roman Day

    Fri 18 Nov 2022

Wow! Year 3 and 4 were lucky enough to take part in an immersive Roman Day this week.  A Roman soldier called Titus visited us on Tuesday and Friday with a mission to avenge his fallen soldiers and to recruit new fighters to help him defend the Roman Empire! Our Year 3 and 4 pupils were definitely ready for the challenge and took part in soldier training - Level 1, 2 and 3.  Titus taught us to: stand to attention, march, create battle formations, hold weaponry, throw javelins, attack and shout a lot of 'Ave Caesar'! The pupils even had to charge at us teachers with their wooden Gladius (sword) and Scutum (shield), which was pretty terrifying for us!  Pupils also: used wax tabula to write some Roman numerals and examined real Roman coins before embossing their own. To end our day the children had to decide which two pieces of Roman army equipment they would choose as new recruits. We also had a lot of fun too!

  • Anti-Bullying Week

    Fri 18 Nov 2022

It has been anti-bullying week this week so we launched with Odd Socks Day on Monday as a way of celebrating our differences.  The children have thought carefully about what it means to be kind and to take care of each other.

  • Library Refurbishment!

    Fri 04 Nov 2022

We were very lucky to have the library refurbished over half term.  The children had asked for tiered seating, beanbags and shelving where special books could be featured.  A team of Year 4 helpers have been putting the library back together.  In the new year, the Norfolk Children’s Book Centre are going to be helping to organise the library using the Dewey Decimal system and they will also help us to look at our curriculum from Reception-Year 6 and help us to select books that will help enhance the children’s learning.  We will then be looking to recruit a team of in-school librarians to help keep it organised!
