School Values
Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
As we grow into a through primary school, we have taken time to review these values. We have worked with staff, children and Academy Councillors to establish what values we think are important at HIPPS.
HIPPS School Values
We work as a team to show:
P-Pride
A-Aspiration
R-Respect
K-Kindness
These values are celebrated through our weekly assemblies where children in EYFS and KS1 are rewarded a Crown and KS2 are given the PARK award linked to the school values.
House System
Children have been put into four houses. The names of the houses were voted for by the children following discussions at the School Council and in classes.
Our four houses are:
Air-White
Earth-Green
Fire-Red
Water-Blue
House points are awarded for demonstrating the school values.
All staff can award house points and the weekly totals are shared in our Celebration Assembly.
Each half-term, a trophy is awarded to the winning house.
