Homework is sent home each Friday and homework must be back in at school by Wednesday at the latest.

Reading

We love reading at Histon and Impington Primary School.  Reading helps to build our imaginations and vocabulary. It is also a superb way to relax and be calm after a busy day. We can also learn about others' opinions, thoughts and emotions when we read fiction and non-fiction - other people's stories are important for building our empathy.

Here is a list of recommended reads for Year 3.

Spelling Lists

Attached below are 100 words that children in England are expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 4 (age 9).

We have also add the Year 2 common exception words. These common exception words – words that are spelled without using the normal spelling rules – are words that children, in England, are expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 2 (age 7).
