  • South Cambridgeshire Cross-country races

    Fri 03 Dec 2021

I was lucky enough to accompany a group of Year 3 children to the South Cambridgeshire Cross Country earlier this week. I was so proud of them all!  Unfortunately our team had been significantly reduced in number due to children self-isolating but the six children that did go all did fantastically well. In the Year 3 boys race out of over 100 children Sam B came 26th and was closely followed by James H in 27th, a fantastic effort. In the year 3 girls race, with a similar number of starters, Thea after a steady start, overtook literally dozens of children to finish an amazing 13th, Klara finished 23rd and Zoey and Nala finished 40th and 41st respectively. It was the first time that almost all of them had ever taken part in a race and clearly they were very nervous. They all did an amazing job and it bodes really well for us competing in future events. Thank you so much to those parents to accompanied us to the event and supported the children so well.

  • Amazing performance of 'The Elves and the Shoemaker'

Fri 03 Dec 2021 Mr Newman

We were so lucky to have Andy from Theatre of Widdershin' come to perform 'The Elves and the Shoemaker' for all the children today. We had two separate performances in order to keep the children suitably distanced and the children and adults all had an amazing time. It fitted in brilliantly with Key Stage 1s Design and Technology work on puppets and was a Christmas treat for all of us! Thank you to our amazing PTA for funding this for all the school to enjoy!
