    Fri 11 Feb 2022

This week, we participated in Children's Mental Health Week to raise awareness of children and young people’s mental health. Children listened to an assembly and participated in a variety of activities which encouraged them to reflect on their emotional growth.  Children particularly enjoyed participating in "Dress to Express" day! Here are some photos of children expressing themselves!

Throughout the day, children participated in a variety of medieval activities. They created their own crowns, made clay gargoyles and learned medieval dancing. Children also enjoyed role-playing and jousting! In the afternoon, children ate a banquet with their class and reflected on the day's activities. You can find more photos from Castle Day by clicking on the "Gallery" tab.

  • Safer Internet Day

    Fri 11 Feb 2022

On Tuesday 8th February, we celebrated Safer Internet Day which focused on how to stay safe online whilst playing games. The children listened to an assembly and participated in some different activities. EYFS children talked about who helps them whilst they play online. They drew a picture  representing the different people who could help them. Year 1 listened to a story about a troublesome duck who wasn’t staying safe online and thought about what he could do differently. Year 2 talked about what information is safe to be shared online and what shouldn’t be. They thought about why personal information shouldn’t be shared. Overall, we had a fantastic day participating in the different activities.

  • Aging trees!

    Wed 02 Feb 2022

Recently we have had some logs donated to our school. We are planning to use them in order to create an additional working area in our school grounds. As additional science work some of the children in Class 8 looked at them carefully with Mrs Huntington. We believe the tree is about 200 years old at the base of the trunk and we managed to work out that the branches could be about 89 years old! We had to count all the rings!
