Class 9 Aurora Australis Inspired Art
This half term, Year Two have been learning about colour mixing using powder paint. They recapped on what they learnt in Year One about primary and secondary colours. They then investigated what happens when you add black and white to a colour.
Class 9 have then used what they have learnt to create Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) inspired paintings. They painted their sky background using shades and tints of different colours then they thought about what is found in Antarctica. From here, they used black paper to cut out silhouettes of things like research stations, penguins and Mount Erebus.
