  • Judging Criteria (out of 40 marks):
    1. Link to the Theme (10 marks)
    2. Performance of Skills (10 marks)
    3. Creativity and Originality (10 marks)
    4. Staging, Formations, and Use of Floor Space (10 marks)

This Year’s Theme: "Dancing Through the Ages"
The theme was designed to appeal to all age groups and connect with either the dance curriculum or other topics studied in school. Participants could explore historical eras such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Victorians, or World Wars; significant people or events like the moon landing; or musical styles across decades, including the Charleston, lindy hop, jive, hip hop, disco, and folk dance.

Our group chose to focus on dancing through the decades, which was a fun but demanding challenge. We had around 45 minutes of choreography to condense into just three minutes for our final performance!

The dedication shown by all the children was outstanding. They gave up many of their playtimes to rehearse, determined to perfect their routine and score as highly as possible.

A huge well done to our incredible dancers—we couldn’t be prouder of you! Thank you also to all the parents for your continued support throughout this event.
