Year 2

Welcome to Year Two!

This page will share with you key information for our year group.  We were unable to hold our usual Information Evenings at the start of the year and so we recorded audio commentary over the slides that we prepared.  These can be found in the Our Children Tab and in the Videos section of the website.

Curriculum

The curriculum information for each of our topics are available at the bottom of this page.  Further information about the Histon and Impington Park Primary School's curriculum can be found in the curriculum section of the website.

Homework

Homework is sent home each Friday in the form of a 'Weekly Roundup'.  It will summarise the learning that has taken place each week and let you know what we will be learning moving forward.  There will be information about the phonics/spelling patterns that we have covered.   In addition, there will be learning challenges linked to different areas that can be completed in their homework.  Homework must be back in at school by Wednesday at the latest.

Reading

We love reading at Histon and Impington Primary School.  Reading helps to build our imaginations and vocabulary. It is also a superb way to relax and be calm after a busy day. We can also learn about others' opinions, thoughts and emotions when we read fiction and non-fiction - other people's stories are important for building our empathy.
